Aloha

"It´s good to have an understanding of what I mean by love, because in the Hawaiian it is much clearer than in English and other languages. The Hawaiian word for love is aloha. The root alo means “to be with”. It also means “to be present”, which means to be with someone or something in the present moment. Oha, the next root, is “joy” particularly the kind of joy you have greeting someone or something, so aloha can be translated as “to be happy with someone or something in the moment.” An additional meaning of alo is “to share”, as in to share an experience, and ha is “life, energy, breath, life spirit”. This aspect of aloha is “the joyful sharing of life”, and this is also love."
